Holly’s world is shaped by her love of family (which includes an adorable rescue kitty who has stolen her heart), the beauty of nature and an irrepressible curiosity that frequently has her turning over rocks and questioning what she finds. This sometimes sends the reader down a rabbit hole into an alternate view of the world than what they expected. Holly’s mind can be an interesting place.
Most of the books presented here are under the author name: Holly Barbo but two are written with the pen-name K.H. Bixby. The Deadly Gambit series is a contemporary political thriller and the publisher thought a change in author name was appropriate.

Ten years have gone by since Holly's first stories came into being. She's celebrating that milestone with a brand new author logo. The design represents her style by linking a pen and a maze. A fresh website completes the decade of accomplishments which have brought 18 books, several badges of recognition for cinematic writing and making the ReadFree.ly list for top 50 indie books of 2017 (Minefield).
Vortexes has done well winning Solo Winner for Fantasy ebook 2018 by New Apple Literary Awards, was chosen as Book-of-the-Month for April 2019 and was 1st runner-up for "Best Book We've Read All Year" 2019.
